Congratulations to MASS Design Group who been named by the Center of Health Design as the winner of the 2013 Changemaker Award! Michael Murphy, co-founder of MASS Design Group, will officially accept the Changemaker Award at the 2013 Healthcare Design Conference, in Orlando, FL.

In a pilot study by the University of Salford and architects from Nightingale Associates, it was found that the classroom environment can affect a child’s academic progress over a year by as much as 25%. Factors such as colors, noise, personalization, natural light and fresh air were all evaluated in the study. Click HERE to read information on the Universities website regarding the study.

The newly renovated Good Samaritan Free Health Center celebrated its dedication on February 26, 2013 and is now open for services in Price Hill, Ohio thanks to the hard work and dedication of individuals at TriHealth and The Good Samaritan Foundation. The center is designed to provide over 1,200 uninsured people living in the area with much needed medical and dental services. A growing number physicians, nurses and social workers are volunteering time and services to the center with the ultimate goal of improving the overall health of the community.
Generous donations of design and construction services for the 4,200 sf renovation project were provided by GBBN Architects and Turner Construction. Shaw Contract Group and Shaw Hard Surfaces is proud to be a part of the center through donation of flooring for the facility. Read more about the communities efforts HERE.
