Juliana Fernandez, partner, talked to us about growing up creative, creating jobs and seeing the happy faces of her clients.
When did you decide to pursue a profession in design?
When I was small, I always knew I wanted to be in some kind of profession that involved creativity.
How did you find your love for design? Is there anyone who played a major role in that?
My father, who is an economist, owned several Herman Miller licensees and I would help in the design department and designing furniture.
Did you ever stray from this path or think about changing course?
I have many times thought about getting a Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) but still be a designer.
What was the happiest moment of the project?
The happiest moment of any project is seeing the happy faces of the clients.
Tell me something that was unusual about the project.
It was in a warehouse and we were merging several locations into one. The change in management was difficult.
What are you most proud of?
Creating a company that provides jobs for more than 500 people directly and indirectly. Also, having an impact on the quality of life of people.
